Kevin Hayden Online Therapist in Massachsuetts

Hello, I'm Kevin, the founder of Whole Mind Therapy and Counseling. My journey began with a personal mission: to make therapy accessible and reshape our perspective on mental health care. As a therapist, I help individuals implement meaningful changes, develop healthier habits, and enhance their self-esteem.

  • Mission:

My practice is built on increasing accessibility to therapy, reducing mental health stigma, and embracing everyone’s capacity to heal and thrive. I am dedicated to personalized therapy while upholding values of confidentiality, collaboration, and building strong relationships.

For me this mission reaches far and wide. I ran the 2024 Boston Marathon with Samaritans to raise funds for suicide prevention, and to break the stigma regarding mental health issues. Asking for help is ok. Everyone deserves support, and that's what Whole Mind is all about.

My path to becoming a therapist:

I've always been inspired by people who overcame obstacle and challenges. Over the past 20 years, I've worked in various roles within the helping profession, supporting individuals as they navigate difficulties in their work, personal lives, and relationships.

Through my experiences and training, I've come to believe that we all have more potential than we often realize. I enjoy working with those who are ready to make meaningful changes and move past the self-limiting beliefs that may be holding them back.

Together, we'll explore these areas, develop effective coping strategies, and work towards creating positive and lasting change

    My Approach:

My unique therapeutic approach combines mindfulness techniques, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

With these methods, we will work together to identify your triggers, increase self-awareness, and develop effective coping skills. By addressing the root causes, we can pave the way for lasting change.

Katie Hakesley, LICSW

Therapist

Hello, I’m Katie and I enjoy helping individuals overcome challenges and find meaning and purpose in their lives through the process of therapy. My journey into the world of therapy is rooted in my desire to help people feel seen and understood while empowering them to move beyond self-limiting beliefs.

  • Mission:

My mission as a therapist is to provide a non-judgmental space where clients can reconnect to their authentic selves to establish a safe foundation for personal transformation. I believe that everyone deserves to live a life they want to be present for. My hope is to help others gain the insight, knowledge and skills needed to achieve this goal.

My Path to Becoming a Therapist:

I became a therapist because I’ve always been fascinated by learning about other people’s unique experiences, values, and challenges. From a young age, I’ve often been told that I have a way of seeing through to the heart of matters and I’ve been able to apply this strength to my work throughout my career as a clinician.

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working with various people of different ages and backgrounds during some of the most challenging times of their lives. It has been my privilege to partner with them and bear witness to their progress.

    • Women's Issues

I specialize in working with individuals encountering self-doubt, relationship issues, and important life transitions.

Additionally, I have experience in women’s issues, neurodivergence, anticipatory grief, trauma, parental stress, work stress, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. I’ve done a great deal of work with individuals coping with a difficult diagnosis of a loved one such as dementia, mental illness, and other medical conditions.

    My Approach:

I utilize an eclectic, strengths-based, holistic approach which integrates modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

I strongly believe that knowledge is power. For this reason, I also frequently provide psychoeducation to clients to help them better understand the issues/symptoms they’re experiencing while empowering them to find solutions.
